Robert Huddle M.Ed., B.Ed. (Physical Education) is well qualified and experienced to provide top advice
and assistance for bowlers and coaches. He was Australian Pole Vault Champion and State representative
for over 16 years during the 1970's and 1980's.

Robert has completed a Master of Education in Physical Education and also has over 10 years of
secondary school teaching experience. He is now working in the quality improvement area with a
professional health organisation.

As a qualified coach Robert also has many years experience coaching elite athletes and at all levels in
bowls clubs. Robert has now transferred his high performance participation and coaching to bowls. Due to
the lack of a program that measures progress and performance in bowls Robert was motivated to develop
the means for this to occur on-line and become a distance coach for keen bowlers and coaches throughout
the world. He has been playing bowls for over 20 years at Division 1 Standard and Victorian and District
representation. Currently Head Coach for Brighton Bowls Club a Melbourne Division 1 club and winner of
many bowls Club Championships and Group RVBA Champion of Champion singles.

ecoachbowls aims to improve bowls performance through sports science coaching.

The basic philosophy that supports this aim is Performance Skills Relativity. This supports coaching and
developing the foundation skills first and then other related performance skills in order of significance.
Some skills are not relevant or significant in achieving success unless other skills are developed first. For
example, fitness is not important if a player cannot play the draw shot. A higher skilled player will always
beat a player with little or no skills who may happen to be very fit or have a strong mental skills from
previous sporting experience.
